About Me
Hi, my name is Kristy Makenna. I’m a 25-year-old from the great island state of Hawaii. My mother is native Hawaiian and my father is Dutch. I’ve had the fun of traveling to Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Illinois and all over British Columbia, Canada.
Here’s a quick “profile-style” breakdown about me:
Occupation: Part-time model, full-time Internet marketer
Likes: All things Apple, reading, biking, hiking, go carts
Favorite Music: Blues and 80s music
Favorite Movies: Star Wars Series (yes, even the bad ones, jury’s still out on Jar Jar), The Abyss, Tommy Boy, Fried Green Tomatoes
Favorite TV Shows: Stargate (all of them, love that Jack O’Neil though), Star Trek (again, all of them), Bones, America’s Got Talent, Covert Affairs
Growing up I was quite the geek, glasses, braces and all. I loved all things tech and took to the computer and Internet early on. I even learned how to build my own computers and ended up being the computer support department for my whole family!
Turns out a few years and contact lenses can really make the difference in your appearance. lol I was spotted in a local retail store and asked if I’d like to be a model for some of their newspaper ads and possibly some live fashion shows. Wow, me? Really? Well, how ’bout that! I’ve been modeling part-time ever since. It’s enjoyable and it pays pretty well, most of the time.
I don’t know if it was coincidence, but one of the people that asked me to build a web site for them told me they had a referral program and asked if I’d like to be an “affiliate” when they launched the site. I didn’t even know what that term meant!
Well, they filled me in and I put a link to them on the home page of my web site. A couple of months later they called and asked where I wanted them to send my check. Check? What check?!
Apparently a few people had followed my link and bought some stuff, which meant I earned commissions!
The check was for a whopping $42.68, but that was it…I was HOOKED. 
Funny how things work out. I continued educating myself about the industry over the years and have really had the time of my life. I can’t even imagine having the word “boss” in my vocabulary. lol
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my blog. I intend to bring you great info and recommendations for some great products and marketing tools, for which I’ll be an affiliate…of course.
